Who can and when to apply for Udyam registration?

  1. Micro Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment should be up to Rs. 1 crore and turnover should be up to Rs. 5 crore.

  2. Small Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment should be up to Rs. 10 crore and turnover should be up to Rs. 50 crore.

  3. Medium Enterprises: Investment in plant and machinery or equipment should be up to Rs. 50 crore and turnover should be up to Rs. 250 crore.

The Udyam registration process is online, simple, and free of cost. An enterprise can apply for Udyam registration at any time as it is an ongoing process. However, it is recommended to register at the earliest to avail of the benefits and schemes offered by the government for MSMEs.

Udyam registration of New Enterprise 

1.The new enterprise is willing to establish itself as an MSME and needs to apply for online Udyam Registration in Udyam Registration Portal.

PAN and GST-related information on an enterprise’s investment and revenue will be automatically retrieved from government databases.
The GSTIN and Income Tax systems are completely connected with the MSME online system.
Upon the successful submission of the application, the business will receive a “Udyam Registration Number” (i.e., permanent identity number).
The enterprise will be given a “Udyam Registration Certificate” once the registration procedure is complete.
